Can I upload more than one document?

Yes. After uploading your first document, you will arrive at step 2 of the ordering process. The uploading form is still available at this stage, and you should select you document in the same way, then click on 'upload another document'. Once you have finished uploading all your documents you can proceed to the checkout.

How do I retrieve my translated documents?

Your documents will be E-Mailed to you unless you have requested us not to (see 'what if I have a special request about my order?').
You will also be provided with a instructions to secure-download your documents directly off the LocalTranslation website. Your documents will remain on the site for 90 days.

How do I view documents with special/foreign characters?

If your translation is into a language containing non-European characters, such as Japanese, you will need to install East-Asian language support for your windows computer in order to view the translated document in its correct display. Here is a Microsoft link to help you.

Which document types can I upload?

LocalTranslation's ordering system supports the following formats:

  • Plain text

You can also specify the web address of any web page or document (MS Word, PDF, etc.) located on the Internet.

Please be sure to include the full web address URL
when specifying a web page (i.e. you need to include http://)

Our translation professionals are located throughout the World. All translators are professionally qualified in translation or linguistics and have a minimum of four years experience in translating in their related disciplines. They are each recognised by a professional translation association or organisation in their prospective countries. Legal translations are performed only by professionals qualified and experienced in law or holding the relevent qualification required in order to complete your work to the required standard.

How do I contact you after placing my order?

After completing the payment process you will receive the E-Mail and telephone contact details of your own dedicated project manager. He/she will only contact you by E-Mail unless you express otherwise (see 'what if I have a special request about my order?').

During the billing process, there is a box you can fill in at the bottom of the page to include any special instructions or comments you have about the handling of your translation.

How do you guarantee my satisfaction in ordering with you?

After receiving your translation you have seven days during which you can raise issues or concerns regarding the quality of your translation. In such a case we can review you issue and re-work anything we feel does not meet our own high level of standards. We may also, in such an event, issue you with part of full refund, although this is entirely up to the discretion of LocalTranslation.

What will happen after I pay for my order?

You will receive the E-Mail and telephone contact details of your dedicated project manager. Your project manager will review your order, and if there is no need to contact you then he/she will assign you documents to the most suitable translators.
You will then receive your translated work (see 'How do I retrieve my translated documents?').
